Varietal Wine / Conquesta
Conquesta Sauvignon Blanc
Made from grapes of the international famous variety, Cabernet Sauvignon. They are grown in old vineyards with a low yield which allows the production of wines with a rich fruit intensity, aromas of blackcurrants and a soft and velvety texture.
Serve between 8-10ºC
The area of Castilla-La Mancha, located in the central plateau of the Iberian Peninsula, is the world’s largest vineyard. Varietal wines are made with one type of grape. Airen and Tempranillo are the most characteristic grapes from this area, while other non-native grape varieties sucha as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Viura, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay have excellent results due to the climate and terrain in this region.
Intense red colour with aromas of black fruits. On the palate the wine is packed with fruity notes and rich flavours of blackcurrant and subtle spices.
This wine is perfect to accompany baked vegetables, pork, rice dishes, stews or roast lamb.
The grapes are harvested at their optimum ripening moment to obtain a balanced wine with the exact levels of acidity and sugar. The must goes through a cold pre-fermentation maceration period of about 6 hours. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 14-16ºC in stainless steel tanks for 15-17 days. The process continues during a short aging period on the lees, giving rise to an elegant, fresh and fruity wine.
