Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Félix Solís Avantis, sustainability is not a trend — it’s part of who we are. Since our beginnings in 1952, our wines have been shaped by the land, the climate and the people around us. Protecting those foundations is essential to our future.
That’s why we see sustainability as a holistic commitment, covering the environment, people and good governance.
Every day, we work to reduce our environmental footprint and contribute positively to our communities, guided by our own Sustainability Strategy, developed through our work with a leading sustainability consultancy, to focus on what truly matters.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
CLIMATE CHANGE
We have been calculating and independently verifying our carbon footprint since 2022. Since then, we have:
• Reduced our direct greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1) by 10%.• Cut electricity-related emissions (Scope 2) by 90%.
We are also committed to setting science-based targets aligned with the Paris Agreement, helping to limit global warming to below 1.5°C.
WATER STEWARDSHIP
Water is a precious resource, especially in our region. Because our vineyards and wineries depend on it, responsible water use is a strategic priority.
Our goal is to reduce water consumption by 20%, and since 2021 we have already achieved a 16% reduction, thanks to:
• Water recirculation projects
• Optimised irrigation systems across our vineyards
RENEWABLE ENERGY
Wine starts in the vineyard, but how it’s made matters too. Today, over 99% of the electricity we use comes from certified renewable sources, and we continue working towards 100%.
In 2025, we took a major step forward with the establishment of our solar farm in Valdepeñas. Covering almost 50,000 square metres — the equivalent of seven football pitches — it brings us closer to our goal of self-generating 25% of the electricity we consume
ATTRACTING TALENT
People are at the heart of everything we do. We actively promote equal opportunities and stand firmly against all forms of discrimination.
We are proud to be the largest direct employer in the Valdepeñas area, as well as one of the main indirect employers in the region. Through job fairs, events and partnerships with training centres across Spain, we work to attract and develop talent for the future.
PROMOTING LOCAL VALUE
We believe strong wines come from strong communities.
That’s why we collaborate with local non-profit organisations, support initiatives with the Town Council to promote wine culture, and proudly sponsor the Viña Albali Valdepeñas indoor football team, the town’s flagship club.
Working Across the Business
True sustainability goes beyond our own operations. We work closely with suppliers and customers to encourage responsible practices throughout the value chain. This includes: • Evaluating sustainability performance • Participating in circular economy models, particularly for industrial packaging management, where projects include the reworking of waste materials
Corporate Governance
To embed sustainability into our business, we have created a dedicated Sustainability and Environment Department, supported by a regular Sustainability Committee. Together, they oversee and guide our approach to environmental, social and governance matters, ensuring sustainability remains an integral part of every decision we make.
