Viña Albali, best Spanish red wine according to Ultimate Wine Challenge

The 2017 results of one of the most recognised US wine competitions; the Ultimate Wine Challenge, are available and this prestigious international contest has awarded Viña Albali Gran Reserva Selección Privada the Chairman’s Trophy.

Viña Albali Gran Reserva Selección Privada 2010 reached 97 points, the highest score among all the entrants and it has also been rated ‘Great Value’ for the excellent value for money it offers consumers.

In addition to this important award, nine of the ten Félix Solís Avantis wines entered attained a score greater than 90 points, notably Viña Albali Reserva 2012 – 95 points, Altos de Tamaron Red 2016 – 94 points and Altos de Tamaron Reserva – 93 points, all of them also labelled ‘Great Value’.

After eight years of competitions, the Ultimate Wine Challenge showcases the diversity of the world of wine, with more than 1,200 references of still, sparkling and fortified wines, ciders and sakes from around the world.
